Duets and Ensembles

We encourage our students to practice and perform with other musicians. e.g. school orchestras and ensembles.

Duets are so much fun!
They are great for gaining confidence in performing at encouraging and friendly concerts, as the students love making music with a sibling or friend.
Siblings or two students from different families often perform together playing duets.
With the new AMEB “Collaboration” exams/syllabus, students can continue on with solo exams or can choose to take their exams in collaboration with a friend who plays a different instrument- e.g. piano and flute.
Some of our students are chosen to perform a Piano Concerto or a movement as a soloist with a school orchestra.
Piano accompaniment parts to various instrumental works are often quite difficult, so training in sight reading music becomes a top priority in our studio.

Concerts, Eisteddfods

We offer many concerts for our students. These are very social, and students gain self-esteem and self-confidence performing in relaxed environments with friendly audiences.

Not just that, in the process, they end up making lifelong friendships.

with the facility of online lessons, Eisteddfods are also popular with families. These friendly competitions are held in Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Gloria is continually amazed at how much her preschoolers are achieving in her studio and how much they enjoy performing in concerts.

The opportunities that eisteddfods provide, encourage and inspire students to reach their own unique potential.

Masterclass Opportunities

Here at Gloria and Peter’s studios we offer the exciting opportunity to participate in Masterclasses with international composers and pianists, for example see pictures of renowned international composer Christopher Norton giving a Masterclass lesson to our student Kathy, and of Michael Spivakovsky (son of the famous Russian internationally acclaimed concert pianist Jascha Spivakovsky) with Gloria and her student Anita.
